Came here for a group dinner and ended up trying a wide range of dishes, including a few daily specials. Overall, it was a good experience with some real highlights, though a few inconsistencies kept it from being great. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived so we had the place almost entirely to ourselves. We started with a mix of appetizers and salads. Excellent food and service. Homemade pasta was delicious, and server was very friendly. Highly recommend.
It is an outstanding Five start service restaurant therefore expensive but worth the try. Their Pasta is amazing and delicious it is a must try, the octopus also very delicious. The place is also designed beautifully. Servers are attending and helpful. Would love to go back.
I live in Florida and have been to the original Casa di Angelo in Fort Lauderdale many times and always loved their food, so I was excited to try the one in Aspen. Unfortunately the experience here was very unpleasant and nothing like the original location and I will not be coming back. Several in our party ordered the veal parmigiana (they are $94 each by the way!) and we all agreed it was a little dry. Update: The owner has responded by issuing a full refund. He was very gracious and apologized for the problems. I have adjusted the rating accordingly. It's rare that a restaurant will really stand up and make things right and they have certainly done that. I live in Florida and have been coming to Aspen almost every year for over 30 years. I've also been a regular customer of the amazing Casa d' Angelo in Fort Lauderdale for 25 years so I was really excited to try Angelo's.
