Dr. Tanna is a leading specialist and innovator in the treatment of glaucoma. He is direct and straight forward in his approach. His knowledge & experience is stellar, and made me feel confident that the trabeculoplasty surgery would be successful, especially knowing that he had developed the gel that prevents post fibrosis.
Upon first meeting he dismissed my maternal great mothers glaucoma said I probably didn’t have it and then at end said I had glaucoma never explained the type handed me a brochure. Both eye drop treatments he tried produced strong side effects and were discontinued. He didn’t like being asked to explain what was going on either. He is way over scheduled and it shows.
Dr. Tanna is wonderful, excellent - the combined glaucoma & cataract surgery he performed on my eye was very successful, I recommend him & thank him very very much! Merci, Dr. Tanna!
Knowledge , patience, thorough- Caring and best doctor in Ophthalmology Dept at Northwestern Hospital.
Dr. Tanna may know his "stuff" but he is rude, arrogant and condescending. Perhaps his title as a doctor gives him the elevation he seeks but he needs "people skills" too. Would not recommend him, ever.
I am not writing a good review for Dr. Tanna because he saved my left eye (eye injury) from losing all of its vision. Dr. Tanna studied my pressure closely to determine which method (surgery, eye drops) would be most topical for my eye. It was both of our decision, Dr. Tanna and I, to perform a tube shunt surgery and thank the Lord, it was successful. My grammar or English might not be perfect, but trust me any person that has high glaucoma pressure, Dr. Tanna is the solution to our problem!
He correctly diagnosed and treated my low pressure glaucoma and fixed my cataract. He's a great doctor who takes his work most seriously.
He was rude and is not receptive to patients' questions.
