so sorry i wasted my time and money! i wish i didnt even have to give them 1 star. someone told me that i just had to try their cakes. so i did. I was sooo utterly disappointed with not only the taste of their dry cakes but their customer service! and the place was just filthy. Why would a bakery have cakes on display that have dust all over them and also look like they were created in the 80"s. Cakes and more cakes Angelica's makes the BEST cakes in the world. My favorite has to be her infamous caramel cake. You can purchase the cakes in 2 sizes. She also sells them by the slice. Other kinds include pineapple coconut, german chocolate, and many more. If you can't make it to her bakery, you can also find her cakes in stores such as Moo & Oink or Kenny's Ribs restaurants. PROS: Cakes are soft and good CONS: She stopped selling half cakes
The Best Cake Ever Angelica's Bakery is the only cake provider our Church uses for our special event's. Although, known for their outstanding Caramel cake, I love their Red Velvet and German Chocolate.
Things Have Changed :-( Hate to say it, but my oh my how things have changed Angelica's. If your frosting gets any worse I and my family and friends will have to stop shopping there. There's the thinnest possible layer of frosting now on your cakes! I mean what have youall done? The butter creams simply are way too thinly applied now and also....they're actually WATERY!!! Please, cut back on your distribution, or whatever you have to do but for heaven's sake, stop putting out such a cheap version of your cakes. I am sooooooo... read more
Dr. Ellis Angelica's makes the best caramel cakes this side of heaven. Their other cakes are pretty good also. I've always received friendly, courteous service. I buy a cake for everybody's birthday in my office and they all love it.
few The best African American owned bakery in Chicago, no matter what others say. We enjoyed every item we purchased, but the caramel cake is like a slice of heaven. Excellent customer service
Horrible Service There is nothing special about their cakes and the service there is horrible. I would not recommend them to anyone. You can find a better cake for a cheaper price at Walmart. I would bet a decorator at any other Bakery would the sense to proofread before selling a cake to someone.
