I had surgery 2024 just recently started receiving a collection bill, but I called the hospital directly (Moses Cone billing) they gave me a number for anes. They said I have no bill this company is saying I owe over $3000 I’m not sure if this is legit or not

My insurance called them on October 24, 2024 to have them resubmit the claim with correct diagnosis code. 10 calls later and issue is not resolved. Some of the agents who answer billing questions have been pleasant & say they are sending emails but today the lady was rude & when I asked to speak to her supervisor as this was the 10th call regarding the issue, she put me on hold for 5 minutes & supervisor did not join call. If I could rate this company at a -1000 it wouldn’t speak to how absolutely HORRIBLE they are!! The communication is non-existent and the representatives in the billing department are completely clueless!! These people sent me a bill in May, 2023 from a service provided in 2021. The service was performed in an in-network hospital but the anesthesiology group was out-of-network. My insurance company contacted their billing department and agreed upon an allowable out-of-network amount, which they then paid. The billing departm... read more

This is the worst office ever. Two years after receiving service at Moses Cone Hospital, we received a bill with an outstanding balance. I called the hospital, and they suspected that the bill I received was from a scammer. My insurance company had the same suspicion, as they emailed me an explanation of benefits with a check number that was sent out one month after the service was provided.
