I paid this guy about 11 Grand to have a long block with new cam installed, rebuild the transmission, headers, intake and throttle body. I got in return an engine that needs more work because it was not tuned correctly nor could he fix it to run properly. He itemized the entire bill rather than a flat fee to do the work which leaves it open to add more things on. I was quoted a 6 thousand dollar maximum cost! BEFORE he started the job!
