We had a very disappointing experience with this provider, from the initial phone call to the actual consultation. The person answering the phone was extremely unprofessional—taking calls while driving or distracted with children in the background, laughing, and clearly not taking the call seriously. I sent a CANS assessment prior to our appointment so it could be reviewed with the doctor, but it was never received. My son had an in person appointment scheduled last Friday afternoon with Dr. Andrey Shalomov. We arrived at 238pm for a 245pm appointment. Nobody was there, so I called the number provided and the receptionist (who was based out of Austin) had to reach out to the provider and she called me back and stated that the provider was a couple of minutes away. Disregarded who I was and who I was gonna become. Said I had surpressed feelings and asked me inappropriate questions. I felt unsafe before he even started speaking. I do not recommend anyone of the LGBT to him.
He is amazing! Very responsive! He has helped my daughter so much! He is very compassionate to her feelings but will also guide her in the right direction when needed. He helps her to look at her situations in a differnt veiw to help her understand herself and her feelings.
Dr Shalomov & his point of contact Janie at the Center for Child & Family psychiatry are passionate about helping people and specially talented at providing the missing pieces to your puzzle. Not only are they empathetic but they are astoundingly effective & responsive. Janie also knows what she is doing in terms of servicing patients that need administrative help.
