I bought my condo in 2008, and subsequently got elected to the condo board, which was in the process of switching back to Cardinal Management, after many years away. Our Board has had a positive experience with them. I grade them a solid B+ for effort and results. It is not easy to manage a condo association. I have read the other (negative) reviews on the BBB and I think some of the issue is lack of buyer education. The condo business model is very fragile. Owners want low assessments, but want 5 star service for it. It can... read more

Cardinal Management DOES NOT work diligently to assist the Board of Directors to maintain communities as they say they do. They are NOT dedicated to providing superior customer service. In fact they did not respond to my e-mails and phone calls for a year regarding an issue I had with my home. They DO NOT implement best practices and they DO NOT adhere to their Management Agreement. I recommend that you DO NOT hire them for your community!

Business response:

We regret a negative review and/or experience with our company. We take great pride in providing our clients with sound leadership and guidance and believe in a hands-on and proactive approach to managing communities. Our team receives intensive training at onboarding and continuing education throughout their time with Cardinal Management Group, Inc. to ensure our clients are receiving the best service available. By way of company policy we return all emails within 2 business days and phone calls within 1; each our team memb... read more

Cardinal Management Group manages a condominium property where I reside. Upon move-in I discovered $25K worth of hidden water damages and an active roof leak. The roof leak had destroyed the interior walls, the ceiling, and upon pulling up the carpet I discovered that 85% of the parquet flooring underneath for 650 square feet had taken the brunt of the damage and stopped the unit below from being damaged as well. This leak apparently had been ongoing for years. The building also shows signs of extreme neglect and evidence sh... read more

Business response:

We sincerely regret a negative review or customer experience. We are dedicated to providing superior customer service and sound guidance to the communities we manage. Each community is unique and unit boundaries and maintenance responsibilities are determined by it's governing documents. Our team of community management professionals assists the Board of Directors with identifying and implementing best practices; however, must work within the confines of the governing documents and budget. As the Management Agent we are task... read more

Cardinal Management is a complete disaster. I live in a condo/townhome community in Falls Church that they manage. The infrastructure in the buildings is terrible - and as a result, we've had walls and roofs cave in from heavy rains as well as general leaks through windows. At least a dozen of my neighbors had to evacuate while Cardinal attempted to repair their homes - only doing patch jobs, not fixing the actual infrastructure. They pay a lot of lip service - i.e., board meetings and emails, but no actual resolution to any... read more

Business response:

We regret a negative review and a poor customer experience. Each community is unique and has its own set of challenges, but we work diligently to assist the Board of Directors to maintain the community in good order and repair in a fashion that is sensitive to the needs of the community's residents, budget and governing document constraints. We are aware of the infrastructure and maintenance challenges in this community and are working with the Board of Directors, 3rd party engineers and experts to develop resolutions. We en... read more

I am a homeowner who has been dealing with a small landscaping issue for a year. I had been communicating with the Community Manager, then the Sr. Vice President, both who give nothing but lip service. I have emailed the CEO in an attempt to get the issue resolved. If the concern cost thousands of dollars to resolve, I could see the need to spend time getting the proper assessment of resolution. My condo fees have been paid timely so I would expect the community management to resolve problems timely. Very disappointed in the... read more
