Poor bedside manner, abrupt allowing no discussion of surgical procedure and postop care. Lengthy recovery from minor procedure with limited mobility and pain.
Told me my knee was just inflamed Gave me the cortisone shot, it did nothin. Physical therapy two times, was in so much pain afterwards, so I cancelled the 10 other PT appts and had to beg for an MRI. After MRI, Gelven's office told me my knee was fractured, just light duty, for 3-6 weeks. Within two months my knee pain shot through the roof and I was face planted on the concrete. Now, 9 months later I'm having knee replacement surgery with new Doctor. Go figure.
Did not want to listen about symptoms or diagnose me. He gave me injections in 2 spots on my shoulder which doubled my pain. After causing more pain he says that nothing is medically wrong with me and that I can go back to work.(I work with my hands over my head all day) If nothing was wrong why was I given injections and why am I in so much pain?
I had severe pain in my knees.... Both at different times....Dr. Gelven gave me the usual cortisone shots, but the only worked for a few weeks. He recommended a different type of Shots. Using Chicken Combs??? I was in such pain I agreed ... I walked in the office the day of the procedure.. using a cane ... I walked out a half an hour later after the procedure normally and no cane and NO pain???? It's been over 8 months and still no pain!!! I Highly recommend Dr. Gelven..
Dr. Galvin performed surgery on my shoulder and within a couple of weeks I felt better then I have in over a year. He knows what he is doing and he tells you like it is good or bad. 100% trust in Dr. Galvin's and his work.
