Dr. Kastenmeier inspired my confidence at our first consultation. He leaned in as we talked about the procedure. He was open to every question, including "Why this procedure at all? Why not later?" He was warm, patient, and kind. I'm an open minded skeptic, but I left that consultation without a worry. My life depended on this doctor’s abilities. Not only did he perform in marvelous fashion, an emergency exploratory surgery, but also performed a secondary, life-saving surgery. Due to his competence, I’m still alive and doing well. Thanks to his compassion, I’m alive and thrilled to leave this review. God bless you Dr. Kastenmeier.
Routine inguinal hernia surgery led to a NINE DAY hospital stay because he sutured my intestine to my abdominal wall. It was not until seven days of horrible “recovery” after the surgery when I went to the ER. I spent nine days in the hospital without food or water while on bowel rest. The experience left me scarred physically and mentally. Never heard a word from him after the initial surgery. Needless to say, I do no recommend anyone receive care from Dr. Kastenmeier.
Amazing surgeon and thoughtful person. Two qualities that are hard to find in the same MD.
