I want to say that I personally don't know Dr.Rice, but he saved my granddaughter's life... She had a AVM burst!! I praise God that he came off of the golf course and straight to Bristol Regional Hospital and put a shunt in her head and then she was rushed to the Corillion hospital in Roanoke, VA.
I highly recommend Dr Rice, he has done both of my back surgeries. He shows care & concern for his patients.
Terrible experience. I went to him for spinal stenosis. I have pain from arthritis in my back and knees. He raised each knee and sharply pushed it back as far as he could. This caused so much pain. Never examined my back. Told me to go see pain management. That’s who referred me to him! Obviously didn’t bother to read anything from my records. And I waited over an hour past my appointment for a minute and a half of his time. Not impressed is an understatement.
Should have known that he was a joke when he wouldn't even shake my hand. Then proceeds to touch my filthy shoes . Never taking time to look at my new MRI scans . Proceeds to tell me he has no interest in helping me. I can go for therapy or pain management. Don't waste time or money on this thing that calls himself a doctor. I left 1 star because it gave me no option for negative stars. I walked in his office with hope and left with thoughts of suicide other than living in constant pain.
