Top-notch doctor The only one to go to. Had migraines my whole life, I am now a headache free.
Dr. Blumenfeld is a great doctor. I had terrible migraines and thanks to his support and the care of his team, I am much better than I was a few years ago. I am grateful for his care and the excellent team working in the La Jolla office.
I have been Dr. Blumenfeld's patient for over three years. Excellent doctor and his treatment is a miracle. I have a brain injury as a result of a car accident and experienced a horrible headache 24/7 for four years until I was referred to Dr. Blumenfeld. Dr. Blumenfeld himself gets five stars. The office just clearly has no respect for their patients. I think the doctor has let any prestige he might have acquired over the years go to his head. He is a warped human being incapable of dealing with actual people. The other one star reviews are spot on. Unfortunately, look elsewhere if you care about the quality of your medical care and experience.
Dr Blumenfeld is an excellent doctor. I was having 15 to 20 migraines a month, now I am down 3 to 4 every three months. He is also very caring. I highly recommend him.
Most of my appointment was spent hearing about his stellar credentials rather than my etiology. For me, a failed appointment.
This doctor was a completely arrogant jerk to my wife and I. When we tried to describe her discomfort, we were told "that's a headache" and "this is a headache clinic and I'm a headache doctor". So unless you have a headache, steer clear of this guy. He was completely arrogant and uninterested in my wife's condition, instead choosing to instruct us in how discomfort means headache. A totally bizarre experience -- after waiting 40 minutes. Terrible. Shameful.
Dr. Blumenfeld and his staff made me feel very much at ease. The level of concern that I had about my condition was taken very seriously. The answers that were provided gave me hope that this condition can be treated and managed. I finally feel as though I have a plan to stop the pain and that there is a place to go if I find myself in a place of hopelessness.
I've had daily headaches my entire adult life. Dr.Blumenfeld treated me for 3.5 years before realizing I did not have migraines(which is all he seemed interested interesting treating). He was diamissive of my pain and annoyed with me that his treatment wasn't working! I was finally diagnosed after he performed a spinal tap in his office and had me leave within 20 minutes. I had to go to the ER to close the puncture. His refusal to listen has left me with nerve damage and vision loss.
