Andrew was technically my psychiatrist, but we barely talked enough for that title to feel accurate. At one point he took me off my SSRI medication without tapering the dose first, which led to some pretty rough withdrawal symptoms and a lot of unnecessary distress. From what I understand, medications like SSRIs are usually supposed to be reduced gradually, so that situation was concerning.
