I will be having a Bilateral mastectomy in a week and met with Andy for a procedure to help reduce pain after mastectomy. This procedure will last for several months aiding in my recovery. Andy is so caring and thoughtful. He explains everything as he goes to put you at ease. He has helped me so much in the past with neck pain and headache. I had tried everything and he helped.
Andy agreed to take me as a patient after no migraine specialists in Des Moines would see me, due to a separate acute pain disorder. I went from near-daily refractory migraines to eight a month, which I now know how to manage. He took an hour and a half with me my first appointment and taught me so much in the process. I recommend his office to many, easily worth the drive down to Pella! His nurse Kelli is wonderful too.
Andy Johnson provided an extremely thorough exam to diagnose the cause of my pain. Andy was also able to explain things in a way that were easy to understand, including using visuals to demonstrate the pathways of different nerve roots. Andy recommended additional imaging and followed up during the time while waiting for authorization of advanced imaging.
