I found Dr. Andrew Elkwood of The Plastic Surgery Center, to be extremely knowledgeable and professional. He always has the patient’s best interest in mind. I was very clear about my preferences for breast reconstruction. I talked about my concerns every visit prior to my surgery..In spite of that the day of my surgery Dr Elkwood make rude and belittling comments to me and gave me no confidence in my decisions. I compromised on after he told me I was chunky and needed bigger implants than I wanted. I would never recommend him to anyone.
I couldn’t be more happier with my results! Not only is Dr Elwood a perfectionist, he really cares about his patients too!
I would recommend Dr. Elkwood to anyone who is looking for an incredibly knowledgeable, skillful, dedicated surgeon. Dr. Elkwood truly cares about the patients, and I felt respected, cared for, and that I was treated as an individual. No need to go to New York City or California for a great plastic surgeon. We have the best Plastic Surgeon here in Monmouth County! Extremely satisfied with the results of my procedures. Surgical center staff were extremely skilled and professional. Dr. Elkwood's nurses and staff extremely skilled and professional. I would highly recommend Dr. Elkwood.
The only thing better then the process, care and professionalism was the results!! My recovery was better then I expected and I fabulous and feel great on week 5 following my lower lift and CO2 resurfacing????
My body was a mess from breast cancer and a perforated colon in my stomach and Dr. Elkwood put me back together. He put fat into my Lump ectomy breast and gave me a beautiful stomach. I feel whole again. Outstanding Doctor. breast .
Dr. Elkwood and staff are wonderful filled with empathy, knowledge and kindness. As a breast cancer patient ungoing reconstruction , this staff his made me feel cared for and important. As a cancer patient I have unwent many surgieries and would not trust another doctor with my health,going as far to change my healthcare provider at work so that Dr. Elkwood could be my doctor. Because of his level of integrity and skill, Dr Elkwood informed me that he would not perform reconstructive surgery on me unless I received certain test results from my nephrologist and urologist. He did not want to jeopardize the results of eight prior surgeries I had since childhood, which left me with abdominal scars and tissue growth, and a severely disfigured abdomen. Happily, Dr Elkwood was able to perform reconstructive surgery on me. I am amazed at the results. It changed my life.
