We had the unfortunate experience of having Dr. Doben as my mother’s Dr. He was unprofessional, yelling at me and getting in my face when I challenged him and asked questions as to why my mother was still in bed with a distended abdomen for 10 days when I asked him, if he could understand why I was so upset, he stated, “ My mother was in Hartford hospital for three months and was then moved to Saint Francis Hospital”. Dr. Joe in and his staff were awesome to work with. They got me in for my first appointment in a matter of minutes. I saw them within a matter of hours. His bedside manner is very good easy to talk to. His explanations are very easy to understand he talks to you not at you. I really did appreciate him answering the questions that I had and making me feel at ease for the procedure that I’m about to have.
Straight forward blunt honest
I don't recommend Dr Doben as a surgeon!!!! Before my surgery took place he asked me if I wanted to go home after surgery and I told him it depends on how I felt after surrgey. He said no you don't have to stay. If it wasn't for the nurses or medical Dr that were taking care of me Dr Doben would of got his way and sent me home. But the nurses amd dr at St Francis said I wasn't going home as they knew I was in so much pain. Dr. Doben is not caring or passionate stay clear of this surgeon if possible
Dr. Doben is the first doctor in years to actually listen to me and not write me off and tell me to deal with the pain. He took a long time to describe what is happening to me and came up with a very specific game plan to get me better.
