Have had 2 knee surgeries and a shoulder injury with Dr. Cooper, so far. He’s incredible, compassionate and spends a good amount of time addressing everything. As a skiier and MTBer himself, he’s able to relate. Kevin is also SO helpful with my concerns. Really glad I ended up with Dr. Cooper as my ortho!
Finding an ortho surgeon you trust is hard to do, each case can be so different and it's challenging job in the first place. I had two arthroscopic labrum repairs that didn't take. My shoulders were still dislocating all the time. I went to several surgeons who suggested doing the same surgery. I was not going to do that. Dr. Cooper suggested a latarjet, it wasn't fun but my arm is doing great today. I ended up tearing my ACL a year later, he repaired that as well. Dr. Cooper was great! He went over my options and recommended injections in my shoulder joint rather than surgery upfront. I’ve been to another doctor that thought I had an issue with the labral tear, he noticed information in my AC joint and believes that is my issue. I’m going with what Dr. Cooper recommends, hard to argue with the team Dr. of the 2016 US Olympic ski team. 😉
