I had a very disappointing and painful experience during my recent visit to John Muir Health with Dr Andrew Cheung (San Ramon). The doctor I saw was extremely unprofessional and insensitive. I came in while experiencing significant pain, hoping to receive care and compassion. Instead, I was met with rudeness and constant arguing. No respect for patients. No phone calls when he cancels appointments. I drove for 1h to the dr’s office for nothing.

Dr Cheung is great! Answers all questions thoroughly and is very patient. He doesn't rush you out of the office like a lot of other doctors i've seen in the past. I would highly suggest him as your primary.

I showed up for my 12:15 pm appointment at 11:58 and ended up waiting until 12:20 to get into a room. I was then verbally accosted by Dr. Cheung for being late and causing him to work into his lunch break. I was not late, as a matter of fact I was early and checked in online the night prior. I felt disrespected as well as rushed as I spent no longer than 2 minutes in the room with him. The staff were all very nice with the exception of the doctor.
