With allergies to most all pain meds, Iovera was used beforehand & my surgeries (both knees 5 weeks apart) was in the discomfort range vs pain. I used only 7 tramadol between both surgeries with 4 pre-emptive, 3 when the extended nerve blocks wore off. CBD worked better than the 10 gabapentin I tried - all in the first 6 days post-op. Nothing but CBD used at night if I thought I may have trouble in the night. Slept 10 hours each night with 2 naps during the day and ROM exceeded end-goal results at only 2 weeks post-op.
