Andrew Klafter was a very unprofessional person in our correspondence! Unfortunate!
Andrew Klafter called me a Ho when messaging me, he is extremely unprofessional, very nasty, and he is a very ruthless guy!!!
Dr. Klafter provided adequate attention during sessions, but I suffered with mis-scheduled appointments, incorrectly prescribed medications (quantities) and a general lack of accountability - notability during a hospitalization where he did not respond to communications from hospital staff. This eventually culminated with a complete unresponsiveness to voicemails left. No response to emails left. Could not recommend this provider, particularly if you're in crisis.
Dr Klafter treated my son, He changed his medications constantly, stopping him cold turkey with out slowly stepping him back down. He messaged Dr Klafter and told him he felt hopeless, was having negative thoughts and even suicidal thoughts, found the message on his phone after our son took his life , i still have the text messages, what else can I say.....
Dr. Klafter was the first psych I’ve visited due to anxiety and depression. My first few sessions went well, but then I felt as if I were talking to a wall. Although I’m not in the medical field, I found it concerning that he never took notes and asked me on several occasions to remind him of what drug and dosage I was on (keep in mind I saw him for 6 months 2-3x a month). If I had to sum my experience up in one thought: I didn’t think he really cared and assessed my issues thoroughly.
Really nice guy that is responsive and listens.
He couldn't help me; and he wouldn't provide me with a list of therapists that could / would be a better fit. It's disheartening. I feel hopeless.
