The nurse, Jackie, was very rude and terse with me when I called for surgery info re: my 24 year old son (with his verbal permission.) I understand and respect hippa laws, but her demeanor was very unkind & impatient in her responses to me. It would have been so easy had she kindly said she understood my concerns but but did need to have my sons hippa forms revised, then given me some instructions to pass on to him on how to do this. Instead she was rude, rushed & unkind. Compassion is imp.

Dr. Katz has done an excellent job with my laparoscopic cholecystectomy (gallbladder surgery). I feel so much better now and recovery is going very well. He explained everything very clearly to me and I felt completely comfortable and secure with his expertise going into surgery. I would highly recommend him.
Other than the front desk employees, my experience here was horrid! I was asked to come in 30 minutes early to fill out new patient paperwork, which I did. I still took over an hour before I was called back to see the doctor. His bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. (Not enough characters to give full detail). They forgot I was there and I'm still waiting for them to call with details for my next steps...four days later. I'll be looking for a new doctor.

Would highly recommend. Dr. Katz is quiet and doesn't say much...he does what he needs to do, and leaves. So if you want to discuss your upcoming surgery with him, have your questions planned ahead of time. He answered all of my questions during my consultation...plus I discovered that he had performed 10,000 of these procedures. I went into surgery with complete confidence in him and he did a great job!
Simply put, Dr. Katz saved my life in 1982, when I was 17 yes old. Awesome surgeon!!!
