Giovanni Scorzo, chef and proprietor, was born in Calabria, and grew up in Liguria, in the Northwestern part of Italy. Like his mother, whose maiden name was Andreoli, he became a chef. Scorzo worked in a variety of Italian regions, Liguria, Tuscany and Calabria, until moving to the U.S. in 1985. RecommendedWow! Absolutely loved this place. It reminded me of grandmother's cooking. I traveled to the area for work and a co-worker told me about it. I will certainly be back on my next trip. Luckily, that's only two weeks away!
Average. You get what is on the menu, if you want salami on a sandwich you have to buy a quarter pound at $16.99 a pound. I also ordered a half pound of Prosciutto, sliced thick to wrap around a pork loin, it was so thin you could read through it and it stuck to the paper and came off like shoestrings. It was totally useless for my dinner. The people were all nice but I had to ask for our dessert and waited quite a while for something that was premade. Sorry about this revue but truth is truth.
It was really good! Calamari was fabulous! Too bad they ran out of loaves of bread! Apparently that is a BIG hit! Will get one next time💜

We hadn't been there in a while and it reminded us we need to go more often. Great food and fun atmosphere!
