Dr Bell had performed the same type of surgery in the mid 90s on the same ankle in early2018 i had no problems then and i expect no problems today. My leg was destroyed in a car accident. He's only gotten better in his years of practice .
My experience with him was awful. My knee was messed after he did surgery and he kept telling me nothing wrong with knee. Didn't go back but twice after surgery this surgery was done 12-16. I am now 10-17 post revision of that knee. It was a mess. I am now a month walking without cane and making a fast recovery. The Dr that did this surgery said I was like someone walking around with a broken leg all these months. I will never ever let Dr. Bell anywhere near. If you need an ortho go somewhere else. I had what's called a boxers break in my hand. Emergency room put half cast on till I could see dr. Bell. When I went to see him he said didn't need surgery and took off half cast and put on splint and 2 pieces of tape. My break grew back at a angel and now I have a huge bump in my hand and can barely squeeze my hand together. Terrible so called doctor and I think he just didn't want to do it because I had no insurance. My mom thru a huge fit when she got the bill and threw the paper in receptionist face. Dr. Bell replaced both my hips right in 9/98 and left 10/99. They were in such a bad shape bone on bone. He did an awesome, awesome job. The life span if easy on them 15 yrs. They are starting to loosen a little now. I live in florida now and go to Tampa to get them checked once a year by one of the best and very well known surgeons in Florida.
