Should have listened to the other reviews. Doctor Van Wurm was not open for discussion on anything, very argumentative and set in his ways. Very unprofessional, do not be fooled by his medical experience and see someone who is more open and challenges new (or any) ideas. “Some people have 20 years of experience. Others have 1 year of experience 20 times.”
Best Pediatrician on the coast!!
We have been taking our kids here for five years. We are always seen on the same day and aren’t required to sit in a waiting room for an hour with sick kids - that’s a huge bonus! I have had nothing but good experiences with all of the NPs and Dr. Wurm. He’s to the point and he won’t placate me with antibiotics unless they are actually needed. He’s gotten to know my child and listened when I had concerns about adhd when many doctors won’t at his age. Very appreciative of this practice and their wonderful staff.
All the reviews attesting to his poor demeanor: I don’t understand at all. Was nothing but great humble and down to earth. Established care as new patient. Didn’t rush through and was friendly and thorough. I felt comfortable trusting him to continue my son’s care. Rest of staff was just as pleasant. Same day sick appointments available as well. He advised against processed foods and I love hearing nutrition counsel from a doctor! Not very common these days. Thanks Dr Wurm
