My children have been going to Dr. Wurm for ~10 years. We think he is a great doctor - very easy going and caring. However, he was bought out by Memorial Health at the end of 2025, and now there are lots of extra charges tacked on top of the normal visit charges. As an example, my children got flu shots the day Dr. Wurm changed over the Memorial Health in ~November 2025, and now in June of 2026 we are getting a bill for the flu shot that our insurance covers. Should have listened to the other reviews. Doctor Van Wurm was not open for discussion on anything, very argumentative and set in his ways. Very unprofessional, do not be fooled by his medical experience and see someone who is more open and challenges new (or any) ideas. “Some people have 20 years of experience. Others have 1 year of experience 20 times.”
Best Pediatrician on the coast!!
We have been taking our kids here for five years. We are always seen on the same day and aren’t required to sit in a waiting room for an hour with sick kids - that’s a huge bonus! I have had nothing but good experiences with all of the NPs and Dr. Wurm. He’s to the point and he won’t placate me with antibiotics unless they are actually needed. He’s gotten to know my child and listened when I had concerns about adhd when many doctors won’t at his age. Very appreciative of this practice and their wonderful staff.
