About this business

…And Something Blue is a bridal studio for the modern bride who cherishes individual style and timeless glamour. Our studio pushes against the old ‘rule’ driven traditional wedding industry that has been directing people for years. We are real people who love love and want to help make our clients’ weddings as remarkable as they are. We do this with Parisian/Upper East Side sophistication wrapped around a little urban grit and glam.

Cannot recommend ASB more highly! Bridgette and Helen are wonderful and SO knowledgeable. They have an extensive collection of all types of beautiful dresses and because they do their own alterations in house, they can talk you through exactly which types of changes are possible. They had ideas for my dress that I loved, and then communicated directly with the designer to alter the original dress. It came out beautifully!! For all the expertise and customization, I was thrilled with the price — you can spend so much more els... read more

After going to so many wedding dress shops and not knowing what I wanted, the second I walked into And Something Blue I knew I was going to get my dress from here before even looking. The dress assistants were the nicest and most genuine in San Francisco, they really took their time to find me the right dress, didn’t have a limit of how many to try on and gave me their 1-1 time. I came back multiple times to try on different styles and I was mostly alone for my appointments and was made to feel very comfortable. I just picke... read more

The amazing seamstress at ASB even took a special trip to get the silk organza for my additional skirt. She made me feel comforted when I was worried I'd made a huge mistake with my dr... read more

I think maybe it’s two very different experiences if you buy a dress from here or if you go in with an outside dress and ask for alterations…but that may be being generous. I went in with a dress I had purchase months before and was in between sizes at the time. I was fine with any alterations. When I arrived I was directed to a fitting room and told to change into my dress. I did so and then stood there awkwardly. The other woman was rearranging the display dresses. I reached out and said “hello, I’m ready” as she had direc... read more
