We love Anchors Away! It's always such a relaxing time when we come.
This was our second time using this boat rental service, and unfortunately, it’s gone downhill. It seems they care more about their restaurant than the rental business now. They’ve set an extremely low speed limit—signs everywhere say 5 mph, but our boat barely reached 2.5 mph. On top of that, we had to wait 20 minutes just for our boat to be ready, and then the crew told us to come back in only 1.5 hours (for what was supposed to be a 2-hour rental). Went on the boat in July for my birthday table and seats in the back were ripped out, flaps were broken, everything was very run down and dilapidated. Went last night for a friend's bday, was the first arrival so I checked us in gave license and credit card for deposit. We did NOT get a link boat they. Such a disappointing day on the water. This place has slipped in the past six months. Unfortunately we won’t be returning (after renting at least seven times). - Boats are dangerously slow. If there is any kind of headwind, they’re useless and are very difficult to steer at such low speeds. It was so slow we couldn’t even finish the full route.
