I'm from MS, way down sout. Here for work and heard good things about this place. Best hamburger and fries I've had in a long time. Beer was good too. Price was about half what o normally pay. What a deal!
Always love this place. Nothing better than burgers, beer, hand cut fries. Excellent service and a neat culture inside. My recommendation is to sit in the library, play some trivial pursuit, and get the TW Whaleback!. Also the fact I can get a beer with my parents even though I'm underage. Great prices too! Can't beat it.

Every time we visit Superior this is our first stop (after Superior Meats) It looks like it's a dive outside but then you walk thru the door... You could look at the walls & ceilings all day and still miss seeing all the "decorations". AND THEN YOU GET A MENU. We've tried almost all of the creations, we are leaning toward the Cream cheese jalapeño being our favorite. At this writing. The staff was super nice. A must go for the atmosphere and the nautical treasures. They even have a library!
The food is terrific and the waitresses especially Bobbie and Andrea are wonderful women. They get really busy between 11 30 and 12.30 with all the take out orders but be patient and enjoy the surroundings the food and service is worth the wait. Dan is a great cook. The anchor is the place to go.
We always stop at the Anchor any time we are in the area. Love the food! The staff are always working hard to give great service. The cream cheese jalapeño burger is my personal favorite.
Great place to end your weekend or start your Monday!
