We built a custom home in Saint James Village and our GC was LakeCrest (who was fantastic). We decided on a metal roof and Amundson was the sub contractor. Our roof is beautiful but in January of 2023 a crazy snow storm happened. Our home was finished being built in November 2022. We had 15 feet of snow fall that winter. It was insane. Amundsun did repairs last September to the metal roof on the house we just purchased a month ago and did a shoddy job on it! First off, they completely enclosed an exhaust pipe that was connected to the oil furnace in the home, which caused diesel fumes to exhaust inside the wall instead of outside, I will give them credit in getting someone out the same day to fix the issue but then they emailed me trying to charge for this repair even though they were at fault. Poor quality workmanship on custom new home. They should be embarrassed about their craftsmanship. Our metal roof became airborne during the first windy day after installation and they will not return for any repairs because of their poor relationship with our general contractor. We are stuck with a poorly installed roof and no other roofing contractors will touch it for a repair since Amudson was the original installer. Beware! And pay attention to who your general contractor picks for your roof install!
The owner is not a kind person. I live near their shop in Washoe Valley, and recently sent them this message: "Greetings neighbor! I live [near] the old gas station you acquired. I'm glad to see you cleaning it up and putting it to good use. Your new sign is beautiful, but is it possible for you to turn down the lights on it at night? Whoever is driving around in their truck is a menace and needs to surrender their license. Tailgated me in the right lane on hwy 80, attempted to pass me on the right using an exit lane, then made moves to run me out of my lane when he realized he was running out of road. Any company that hires people with such clear lack of emotional response should be avoided at all costs
