First of all - I have probably the simplest most straightforward taxes to file, just from work and some stocks. I have filed taxes myself, with turbotax, and with other CPA. Never got fined from IRS before. They ended up overclaimed my tax returns from IRS by adding a Recovery Rebate Credit that they just assume that IRS owes me which they never confirmed with me.
