Gave my insurance and the company didn't even try to run it, just billed me first. Months of trying to appeal for insurance to pay more than out-of-network (most won't btw, because the no surprises bill left out ground ambulance, even if you're going to an in-network care facility). Pulled teeth to get an "itemized" bill only for the itemized bill to essentially say we're charging you $2000 for a fancy car ride. No sirens, no rushing, and about an 8 minute drive. No issues with the first responders, but the experience afterwords has been nothing short of shocking. Multiple letters contradicting each other, billing number changes every time I call and get connected to extremely unhelpful outsourced billing service team. Last letter stated that if I sent payment within 30 days I would receive a gift card, otherwise further legal action would be taken including collections. Wildly unprofessional experience, if I had not rode in the ambulance I would think I was being scammed

AMR has a couple paramedics that have no place working around people. They stold a folder that had nothing to do with them being at my home. The fold specifically stated for me to give to my PCP so they know how to treat me after having major open heart surgery, where I died twice during surgery, had clips put in my heart, had three transfusions, & a lot of forced medications to help my heart to heal.
