They couldn't get off the phone to explain my contract. So of course I wasn't told that my gas credit had already been issued. So I spent $50 on gas only to find out no I will not be credited the difference like I was told.
Terrible. Head to Yelp to read the full review but to summarize, they lied to us in the beginning in order to get our business, then doubled the original estimate even though the move ended up being for a few thousand less pounds and a shorter distance. Untrustworthy and a nightmare to deal with, avoid at all costs.
This place is the worst. Please never place your furniture or anything else that you own in this facility. As I prepared for my relocation back to Greenville, NC I stored my furniture at Ample Storage. After a two months, I picked up my things just to realize that rodents had destroyed my couch that was wrapped in plastic. Rodents were found dead in my couch. You should completely disregard the "Terrible" review. I'm not sure what his or her problem is but it sounds nothing like the place I've been renting from for 8 years. My husband and I have had our good furniture, our books, and other valued stuff there since 2003 and we've never had the slightest problem. Shannon, the manager, runs a tight ship, looks out for the tenants, and is helpful and friendly beyond the call of duty. I have rented several units at this Asheville, NC location over the past 5 years and have found it to be the cleanest and most well managed storage facility that I have ever used. The current manager is a gem and will not hesitate to help in any and every way to make moving in and out of her facility as painless as possible. She is quick to respond to every request and, as a result, this facility is almost 100% rented at all times.
I would strongly advise against paying for a storage space with this company. If your stuff is damaged, they will do everything possible to weasel out of responsibility. Based on multiple experiences, they treat their customers as second rate, low class citizens whose money is of no value to them (obviously).. their goal is to steal your stuff (even if you are 1 day late on paying or only owe $5)... thousands of dollars worth of stuff.. doesn't matter.. even if you have already paid them thousands in rent and are a long term... read more
