We’ve been coming for years but this year we’ve tried a few times with the same results. The lunch special was cold and the salad bar was empty of several items. The fries were cooked in the same oil as someone’s fish and service was lacking. Also we noticed a lot of people in and out of the kitchen and they were not dressed for food service. Can’t do this again.
If you want good American food..with quick, friendly service..make a stop
We have ate at ammons drive in a few times its normally OK but this time it was not good my wife and got burgers with chilli and we split a hotdog the burgers were so over cooked they were hard to even chew the hot dog wasn't good either our grandson had the hog kids meal and our granddaughter got the shrimp kids meal our bill was over 40.00 for what we felt like was fast food quality food we will be passing ammons drive inn from now on and stopping at on of the other good restaurants in maggie valley or we will just eat fas... read more
