For the amount of rent you pay to live here, this place should be nicer with everything in perfect working order. Aside from the problems below, someone has been accessing womens apartments when they're not home with attempted entry made last week, late at night while one was home. The lack of security should concern any woman considering renting here. It wouldn't be my first choice. NO CELL PHONE SERVICE – I live on the East side of the complex. My place overlooks the pool. If I want to talk on the phone I have to (not kidding) hang out of my window. One day I noticed that three or four other people were on their phones on their balconies. So it's the same thing for a large percentage of the units. Here's the thing, it's an easy fix. Do not get fooled by the niceness, ripps u off at moveout – Just moved out on March 26, 2012 and did the move-out walk in of apartment with Dixie the following monday. She said the final charge was $28.00( 4 light bulbs out in bathroom-$7 each). A week later we got bill for $178 something. When asked says-carpet wear and stain. We've lived there for a few months and it was nice in the beginning. We live above the pool. About a month ago 4 different apartments around the pool were rented to a group of friends that came from Mexico to go to school here in Austin. I'm guessing their parents are wealthy businessmen because they drive Maserati's, range rovers, etc. I have never seen such obnoxious people in my life. Cardboard and staples...Slap Yourself – I'm qualified to say this, I've been here for 11 years. Oh Lord, I'm stuck in Lodi. For business reasons and before buying another home my wife and I have hung in. They're starting to rent-jack a rate for the first year then blam. When they built this cardboard in 1989 the developers ran hot and cold pipes together in the complex. I have to run cold water in all rooms for 6 minutes to just get any cool water. Amli Southshore – We were one of the first people who moved here and have been here over a year. We have had everything go wrong here that you can imagine. We have the 2BR lady bird unit, First our A/C keeps the master bedroom warmer by 8-10 than the rest of your apartment. Sorry no fix for that. Our sinks have leaked, our neighbors dogs bark all through the night our car has been robbed, cockroaches, (which I've NEVER had). I have even had people try to open our door in the middle of night. WARNING: DON'T RENT HERE - WORST PLACE TO LIVE IN DOWNTOWN B – These money-hungry, greedy property managers will suck you dry. If you don't want to regret it, save yourself the trouble and rent elsewhere. Bring Your Earplugs!! – My apartment here is spacious and well-appointed with crown moldings and huge closets. The staff is pleasant and professional. That pretty much sums up the good points; the unpleasant bits could fill volumes. Most have to deal with the loutish, drunken residents who think nothing of partying until daybreak.
