This place is a nightmare! Dont go! They make the elderly, sick, dementia ridden patients waiting in the waiting room for hours, then offer horrific treatment.
Dr. Amjad is a God-send. He was the third Neurologist we went to for my father, previous 2 couldn’t even diagnose him correctly. Though we have had to wait for lengthy times, it is always worth it. Dr. Amjad gives my father 100% attention, truly cares, answers all of his concerns and his families also. In emergency situations, Dr. Amjad has even called me from vacation. He is the epitome of how every physician should be.
He repeatedly cancels office appointments for his other commitments and makes it difficult to reschedule. Doesn't respond to phone or email messages. Can't depend on him for even routine care.
He has been great dealing with my brain tumor and my other complex issues. Having dealt with all my issues, I did not want to start all over with Gtown docs like he was recommending. i had alreading done that. abut for him, he is the best I HAVE SEEN in the area. I have been north south east and west. Im tired of traveling.
This review is for Dr. Amjad's care of my mother, who has passed away. She saw him for nearly two years before we moved her to a different provider at a different hospital. Our experience with Dr. Amjad was terrible. He was always running extremely late for appointments. The shortest time we ever waited was an hour, the longest 2.5 hours. My mother had severe dementia and waiting that long was very distressing for her. It would also take him 1-2 weeks to return phone calls, even in emergencies.
Dr Amjad is the kind of doctor one gets once in a lifetime. He is a physician because he wants to help people. I will now only take new meds if he approves. If Dr. amjad had not such a care for his patients, I would have been ruined. He called me at home at almost 11pm on a Saturday because he could not understand why I was getting worse. I had had good DBS. No sense to it. turns out a diff doc had given me the worst med possible for my condition. iI would have gotten worse except for Amjad
