Dr Amitabha Mitra is a highly professional & dedicated Hand Surgeon & I highly recommend him. Through his care with a series of injections, & therapy for arthritic hands, he has managed to avoid my having to need surgery! Maryllis Hughes
Waited 2 months for and appointment and it had to be rescheduled so now I have to wait another month and a half for another appointment! He is a great doctor but the scheduling sucks and they should be ashamed to have patients in pain for months!!!!!! Sickening
Very worst experience I've ever had with any provider. Zero bedside manner. His arrogance and indifference even offended my partner accompanying me. I did like his PA but never returned after she left
No one is on the same page. The “surgeon” says there’s a good chance of my son losing his thumb if they do the needed surgery. The next wack says there’s next to no chance of it. The follow up appointment (that we are sitting and waiting for) we sit for an hour and counting. UPMC is a joke. They only allow 10-15 minutes per appointment because they need that money. My experience was bad. I had thumb surgery,the pa gave shots for months didn’t recognize that it was inflamed and swollen and needed rayed had to ask for that got a hassle! Then dr. Pulled a good one half hour before surgery wanted to do bandaid job and could come back in 5 years to have reconstruction done. They did not inform me this office only gives Tylenol for pain.Called several times with accuse pain after surgery. Wasn’t documented or addressed let me in pain.
