I love Amica. I have home and auto policy through them and I've had to make a few claims, there a pleasure to work with I've had no problems at all and would highly recommend them to anyone
I switched to Amica just over two years ago, they offered lower rates than I currently had for auto insurance by several hundred dollars. Then I moved, to a nicer town just a few zip codes away and they increased my premium almost $200 and offered the worst rate for homeowners insurance across providers. The final straw was when my policy was up for renewal and they DOUBLED my auto policy to $1400. We have had Amica car insurance for a long time: my step-father signed up with them I think in 1994, and after he passed-away, my mother put the policy in her name. In 2004, she purchased a brand new car, and because she does not drive, she listed me as the driver of the car. Two years ago, we added my daughter and her car to the policy. If I could give zero stars, I would. We spoke with a representative [Michael Young] and he got us set up for a policy on a house we're planning to close on. We waited for confirmation on the policy, and waited, and waited. As the closing date approached, we received a call from him saying to give him a call back, no big deal. We did, no return call.
