I developed painful burns from radiation that turned into open wounds. I told or showed the burns to Dr Patel which did nothing about them except a cream which I later learned contributed to the problem. Another Doctor I see saw them 3 days later after I saw Dr. Patel and they sent me to the ER who then sent me to a Wound Care Center. It was a horribly painful experience that wasn't necessary if Dr. Patel would have listened and responded to the problem I was having. Dr. Ami Patel-Yadev is a wonderful radiation oncologist at Texas Oncology Grapevine and Keller. She is thorough, knowledgeable and truly cares about her patients. I recently had a routine checkup with her for breast cancer that she treated two and one-half years ago. I was dealing with a knee problem at the time and she told me that if I had my primary doctor investigate by an X-ray for early onset arthritis in my knee that possibly a very small dose of radiation therapy might be able to help. I have only good feelings about this Dr and the Dr's. I see or have seen at Texas Oncology
