One star for heartless management. The floors in Amhurst creak loudly and my upstairs neighbors were up a lot during the night so I never slept well, despite buying a noise machine and earplugs, talking to the neighbors - who were nice but couldn't do anything about it - etc. The apartment manager is very kind and did her best to work with me on the issue, but in the end there was nothing we could do. Hoping this review will save some people. Unfortunately, there were not any reviews when we moved in so we didn’t know what we were getting into. Pros -you have a roof over your head Cons -very old building. Not worth the almost $1,200 that we pay a month. There are a lot of windows in our unit that have huge gaps in them, which allows a lot of air to come in even when the windows are closed. This is unfortunate in winter and summer. I have lived here for a little over a week. Since March, my husband and I were looking for an apartment for August. Since the Portland turnaround is so fast, we were asked to wait until July to apply. We paid a holding fee that was applied to our first month rent. (A fee that ensured we wanted to move in) We have had 2 different issues with our shower. Maintenance IMMEDIATELY responded. Fixed both, even having to run to Home Depot 2 times for parts.
