Our son had been in a induced coma for 2 1/2 months. He woke up just prior to his admission to AMG. He had to learn to talk, eat, restore the use of his arms, etc. We will got there just after his admission, the whole staff, including the CEO, nurse, ST, PT, OT, Wound nurse, around 8-10 medical personnel, crowded around us and Jeff's bed, introduced themselves and their specialty with a smile and concern. AMG is the best health care facility (hands down or hand up!) I have seen in lower-state South Carolina, and I would recommend anyone and/or their loved one's needing the level of care this facility provides (for us, we required care in a L-TAC facility for a very serious sacral wound along with rehab. Our elderly loved-one was immobile due to a very serious case of neuropathy and a dislocated shoulder, on top of the wound). Amazing staff and seamless admission process!!
Well at 1st, I thought this facility was awesome but the more I visited my cousin while she stayed there, I begun to realize that their services sucked. There were many times where my cousin didn't get food or water in a timely fashion. This facility also took FOREVER to release her to another facility (rehab) so she could become fully mobile again. They also knew that my cousin had heart problems and not ONCE did they get a cardiologist to examine her or let us know that this specific service was not available at their faci... read more
