Amg! Whew! Here’s the Good and Here’s the Bad! My mom was transferred to this facility with a trach tube and feeding tube after surviving cardiac arrest during dialysis. The pulmonary/respiratory team were amazing. Within 2-3 weeks her tracheostomy tube was removed, she was talking, and eating soft foods. FEEDING TUBE was never removed🤷🏾♀️Day shift Nurses, CNAS, as well as Day shift dietary staff were caring and friendly. AMG literally brought me from the brink after the hospital next door had written me off. Hubby transferred me out of desperation after they told him to get my affairs in order. I was told when I was brought in I was a train wreck (lol). I couldn’t speak w a trach tube but the patience they showed for using my white board to write (and tolerating my scribble scrabble) was amazing. HUGE shout out to Donna in respiratory. My father received exceptional care at the AMG Specialty Hospital. All of the nurses, doctors, and staff went above and beyond to make him as comfortable as possible and to keep us informed about each step of care. The staff and nurses made us feel like family as we came in daily to visit our father. The administrative folks worked extremely hard to coordinate in-home hospice care for my father so he could enjoy his time with family in the comfort of his own home.
