Noisey room facing the street, ok for the price but don't expect deep sleep
3rd time staying here and loved it. Short walk to 5th ave, Time's Square, central park, Bryant park, and other's. They no longer have the breakfast buffet area so that was disappointing but still a nice place to stay.
Saggy mattress let this place down. Otherwise we had a good stay. Great location, efficient check in, friendly staff.
I stayed here November 22-23, 2025. The hotel facade is super cute and I was excited about the booking. I booked this hotel based on price and location. It is one of the lower priced options within close proximity to Times Square, Central Park, etc. The room had a really strong odor that was hard to deal with. Title: Fraudulent Charge – Avoid This Hotel! I was charged $366 for a night I never booked and never stayed. The Ameritania Hotel processed my credit card through Expedia without my presence and without my permission. When I tried to resolve this through both Expedia and the hotel, neither offered any help. They kept the money and refused to acknowledge the fraud. I have never even entered the building, yet they took my money and provided zero customer service. This is unacceptable and unethical.
