We are a Columbia business and switched to Ameris a few years ago from a bank that had recently gotten much larger. We are a local business and appreciate being able to call our bankers that always answer the phone. We recently had a serious fraud issue that we had resolved within 24 hours. Lea Smith at the Columbia branch of Ameris Bank was extremely helpful during a recent debit card issue I had through my long-time business account. I previously had excellent service at the Beaufort, SC branch but now live in the upstate. Lea happened to be working in the Charlotte branch when my debit card information was stolen just before Christmas.
