This company has to be the worst company ever.it's a so called Houston-based company but every time you call a call center in India answers the phone it's supposed to be a $300 million company well their office is 600 ft.² with four employees working there it's a joke !!!!! They hide behind her lock doors with no customer service whatsoever and when you're right they call the cops to ask you to leave... people please do your homework about this company there nothing but a bunch of leecheos feeding on small hard working busin... read more

Business response:

We more than welcome our customers to call our customer service line during regular business hours - 9am to 6pm CST and our average reply for customer issue sent by email is under 2 hours. Mr. *******/ * ******* have been delinquent on their electricity bill ever since they become a customer in April 2017. We extended their due dates and offer payment plans every single month. They avoid our follow up calls to make payments on agreed dates, and when they do make payments, their checks were returned on insufficient funds in m... read more

AmeriPower is the WORST electric provider I ever deal with in my entire life. I had my account on autopay w/ them and last month, my checking account has been compromised so I had to close my checking account and totally forgot to update my payment method w/ Ameripower. Right after 7 days from the DUE DATE, they TURNED OFF my power and when I called them, they want me to pay $30 bc they couldn't charge my account for autopay, $25 for disconnection fee, another $25 for re-connection fee. OK that's fine, charge me all the fees... read more

Business response:

We reserve the right to disconnect service when services rendered and it is unpaid within the time frame. Mr. ** have a history of excessive delinquency on his accounts and the auto pay on the account was a credit requirement as an effort to keep Mr. **** account current every month. Our records indicate that we sent emails and several calls were made to reach out to Mr. ** regarding his payment. After 10 days of attempting to reach Mr. Le with no success, we have to disconnect power for non-payment. We offer full assistance... read more

I had electric with this company and cancelled on (10/20/16) due to moving locations. I was told by customer service that a verbal was fine and that my cancellation fee would be waived due to them not servicing my new area. I moved 10/20/16, I cancelled the auto pay feature online and I have been repeatedly charged for electricity since 10/20/16. I got a email from AMERIPOWER with a copy of a bill for November. I email them back stating I called and cancelled service on 10/20 with all the info stated in my original phone cal... read more

Business response:

It is a standard process for our company to request a signed cancellation form from the customer to cancel service or terminate power, with no exception. This is a part of a very basic customer service training and each and every one of our rep who we allow to pick up customer service calls are familiar with this process. The reason that we require a written authorization is because: 1. We want to make sure that it is the authorized person/the owner of the account who is requesting the cancellation (verbal means anyone could... read more
