My wife and visited Amerigo last night with the specific purpose of shrimp & grits. Arriving around 6:30 PM, the dining room was full as one might expect, so we chose a high top in the bar area with no waiting. The service was slow not because of poor service but they were very busy. One of the managers came in and took our drink order and our food order while the bartender took care of other patrons. Amerigo's is our Italian place of choice. I always get the chicken cannelloni and I'm never disappointed. My husband gets the shrimp and grits and loves it! The taste of the food is exceptional!
I went with a group of 25 ladies. The service and food was great. I had the shrimp scampi, delicious. Will be going back, great lunch specials?
