Their prices are higher than others in the area , I've called several times to get a price competitive with others in the area and someone from who knows where give no relief. I will be changing companies... Sadly we have been with AmeriGas since 2001 , same ugly tank and impossible to get a US citizen on the line..SMH
Absolutely ridiculous to charge $3.55 a gallon for propane. Then when we switch to a different company, you charge $500 total to come pick up the rental tank We paid less than $2 a gallon when we switched to a BETTER company. Customer service is absolutely awful. I should’ve know that when it took 2 months to even get started with you guys, that was a huge red flag. So many times I had to call to get a delivery!
My delivery did NOT arrive again (as promised) - in Michigan - when it is 10°F out with a snowstorm coming tonight - on a Friday. I contract to "Keep Full" and Amerigas has let me run out of propane before - and it looks like it is going to happen again. But I can pay EXTRA if I want them to come out early and fill my tank. Customer Service just reads from a script about how sorry they are for the inconvenience. Tank is at 15 percent and I use 3 to 4 percent a day and my delivery is "expected" in 4 days. Wouldn't deliver propane because there was an INCH of snow. Awful customer service, getting billing errors fixed is a nightmare. I went years with this company without ever having an issue but the last year and a half has been awful. I'm about to run out of propane and not be able to heat my home in the middle of January because of an inch of snow. We have a gravel driveway, we don't scrape the ground when we plow otherwise we would ruin our driveway. We haven't even been using 4 wheel drive and we haven't had a single issue... read more
