I have been trying to get Amerigas to recognize that my account has been canceled by me for several years but they continue to attempt to collect tank rental fees for a tank that I have not used in years. In fact their tank still sits in my yard waiting to be picked up. Also the foreign customer service presence is counter indicative of their name. Booo!!!
Do not use this company
AWFUL service, TERRIBLY high prices, FEES for everything ... the last straw is that after being a customer for >25 years, we switched to a very efficient heat pump, so we don't need propane any more. Called to cancel, went into a queue where I waited for more than 1/2 hour TWICE before hanging up. Called the number again later, but this time I chose the option to establish new service, and -- miracle of miracles! -- the call was answered *immediately*. Spent over an hr on the phone spoke with 4 different people and no answer or problems solved. Disconnected once and put on hold for over 30 minutes. Not a good experience.
