Our favorite option for staying in Lutsen/Grand Marais. Most affirdable option and only 15 min from Grand Marais. Trust me... Stay in the King Suite with the whirlpool! Staff is always so nice. Check in is super smooth. View is beautiful in the morning! Breakfast has a great selection.
Everything was excellent! Clean hotel and recently remodeled. Very quiet. Continental breakfast was wonderful!
The deep bath was wonderful!
Wifi isn't free, in 2025. There's some kind of low-bandwidth option, but if you want to do anything, you're paying for it. They restrict VPN usage, as well. No idea what the deal is, as I've stayed at tons of these without issue in the past. There's just no reason to be doing this sort of thing anymore, and all it accomplished was getting me to stay elsewhere next time. Heater was noisy, told the front desk, they gave me ear plugs and didn't fix it. Plenty of hotels around in the area, don't bother with this.
