My wife and I stayed here and many other AmericInns many times before they became part of the "Wyndham family." They were our go-to for in-state stays. However, I do not think we will return. This is not the fault of the staff, who were efficient and friendly (although they approved our room request at the time of our reservation, only not to honor the request when we arrived), the cleanliness, which was up to snuff, or the amenities, which were appropriate for this price point. My only complaint, is we had around 13 kids and the chemicals were so bad from the hot tub and pool it was burning everyone’s eyes. The kids were all coughing and woke up with a sore throat. We did not see any pool attendees testing the water chemicals.

Met in the lobby by the fireplace with some friends who was staying at your hotel. The couch and the chairs were very comfortable. We enjoyed an evening of conversations and laughter. A friendly hotel for snowmobilers with a nice pool and a public bathroom to use when you're hanging out by the fireplace in the lobby.

Stayed here from March 9th - 12th for a mid-week stay to ski at Lutsen. Our family of 4 (6 and 8 year olds), loved it. It was enough space in the room for us and all of our ski clothes and swimwear. The bathroom is a bit small, but at least the sink area was not in the bathroom which was convenient. Clean, warm pool and hot tub. Bring goggles for swimming as the chlorine bothered my eyes when the jets were on in the hot tub (but not bothered when the jets were odd).
