Church gathering kids running the halls at all hours of the night. Banging on doors ect... woke my gf up out of her sleep they slammed a door so hard. Millions of kids in the hot tub couldn't even enjoy the pool area. Breakfest area under construction microwaved sandwich for breakfest pancake machine wasent working for step daughter. Comedy night at the bar Saturday night during our stay couldnt even enjoy a drink either. Will NEVER stay here again nor recommend to anyone.
This is the worst Americinn I have ever stayed in! I spent a lot of vacations raising my children (over many, many years) at Americinns, and I was always confident that our stay would be comfortable and worry free and clean, with exceptional service! This location (Onalaska WI) is terrible! It is rundown, the interior is worn out and dirty. The hallways are not connected and there is no elevator. No clear signage to guide guests. Cost seems high for the state of the hotel and rooms. They did have an announcement at the desk that updates are scheduled for 2026. Indoor pool area is nice for kids but no deep end. Breakfast is very minimal with limited options. The public tiki bar outside on the river was a plus. Once the rooms and maybe pool area are updated this would be a nicer option.
The room was disgusting. I had to buy my own cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom enough to use because it "had already been cleaned." The curtains looked like they hadn't been cleaned in 100 years. The bedding was stained, and the bed was moist. I had to supply my own bedding. The wash cloths in the bathroom were brown and looked like they were used to wipe someone's butt. There was blood droplets on the bathroom floor and sink. The shower took 40 minutes to fully drain. We booked a 3 day stay and left after one night. The room smelled musty and damp and when we turned the furnace on it smelled like burning plastic. The bathtub had hair and debris on the bottom and the carpet was so filthy I didn't even set my bags down. We were moved to a different room that still smelled bad, the towels and washcloths were all stained and the bathtub didn't drain.
