This could Absolutely be the worst hotel stay we’ve ever had. In one of our rooms, an infestation of ants- in our bed, our bags, medication bags. After going down to the front desk to complain and get it resolved, the supervisor said there was nothing they could do until Monday. We got there on a Saturday. Still, six days later, zero calls from the GM or owner. I reached out several times, but no one will reach out to me. We have contacted the State Health Inspector to get them more compliant. Do better!
We were very disappointed with the overall stay we had at the AmericInn Hotels and Suites in Coralville, Iowa. We booked online and were very specific with having 4 adults in our party as well as we were very specific in wanting a King size bed with a fold out sofa sleeper. When we arrived at the hotel, we were booked for a room with 2 adults and Queen size bed with a fold out sofa sleeper. NOT what we had requested. The staff here was terrible. Completely unwilling to provide any kind of service or address anyone in our reservation politely. Treatment aside, all facilities were in terrible conditions, and any refund requests or claims were entirely met with aggression and hostility. The reservation was insured for any unplanned cancellations, but even when contacted via the official avenues, such as Expedia and Generali, the staff refused to confirm or assist with the required information to process the refund.
