Relatively new motel, typical of others in the chain. Friendly staff, everything worked, and the breakfast was decent.
We had a suite with a lake view. The suite was wonderful and only out done by the view out the window. We asked for several things we forgot and the front desk was super responsive. It was a very nice stay.
Rooms haven't been dusted in weeks it looks like,cobwebs in every corner,no water slide anymore,pool area was kinda filthy algae growing everywhere.had to call the front desk to blow off all the fly carcasses off the balcony.
Hotel has gone down hill in the last 5 years. No more slide in the pool, no more bar in the pool area, missing the large yard games, no more fires on the beach, and smores on the back patio at night, no more fishing poles you can borrow. I've stayed here 4 times in the last 8 years and each time it just gets a bit more run down. It used to really feel like something special - like a real reaort from the 50s/60s with all the extra amenities, but now its just a blah hotel and not worth the extra cost.
