AmericInn by Wyndham Ankeny/Des Moines is a solid choice in Ankeny. Spotless rooms and the service went above and beyond. The room was clean and comfortable, and check-in was a breeze. Would happily return and tell friends about it.
The pool area just needs some ventilation otherwise overall experience was great! Staff were pleasant and helpful!
Didn't get the room I was hoping for but that wasn't the hotels fault, it was because I booked through booking.com. The guy that checked us in was incredibly patient and kind. Appreciate you. Everything else was great.
The staff here deserves 10 stars!!! I stayed here on 6/8 on my way home to Colorado, and I immediately noticed how welcome I felt! I cannot say enough about the gentlemen who were at the front desk both last night and early this am!!! So helpful and genuinely kind.....After staying in a downtown Chicago high rise hotel that was absolutely stunning but had extremely rude unhelpful staff behind the front desk that honestly made us feel so unwelcome that it really soured our stay...... this place is a breath of fresh air! No joke real talk. 2 night stay. First day shortly after checking in my wife was there alone pooping and one of the staff walked in without knocking and looked her dead in the eye.. She's a shy pooper and probably wont poop for days now. Next morning Im there alone sleeping... Door opens and its a different staff and as luck would have it I was pitching a tent bright and early. This was 820am. Check out is 11. Why the hell are they just walking in my room no knock no nothing.
