Amazing people work here who genuinely care about the safety of the drivers and those around them. I came in for a tire repair but had to purchase a new tire (cut was too deep and large to mend) and the service provided was extraordinary. Did you know they can air your tires for free??? Sean at American Tire in Elk Grove provided the best experience I’ve ever had at any repair shop. Called and spoke to Shaun over the phone last week about ordering tires. This guy has ZERO customer service etiquette, speaks like an airhead, and doesn’t listen to customer wants and concerns when shopping for tires. All I got from him throughout the 8 mins conversation was “uhh yea” “I guess so” and other air headed responses. I stayed on the phone hoping that maybe he would lock in and was probably multitasking while assisting me, but the rhythm and tone of the call didn’t change from beginning to end. I scheduled an appointment expecting a wait time of about one hour, which is what I was told upon arrival. Over two hours later, my vehicle still was not ready. An alignment check was added, which may explain part of the delay, but no one communicated the updated timeframe or kept me informed throughout the process. I understand delays happen, but good customer service includes transparency and communication. Sitting for hours without updates after making an appointment was frustrating and disappointing.
